About

Planned Happenstance—when good things happen that you didn’t expect. We met by the coffee pot one afternoon in our office building. Have you ever met somebody and wondered where they had been your whole life?! That was this. We met and quickly learned we both owned counseling practices, had this insane drive to help people, enjoyed good wine and every once in a while cussed in session. We were besties. We’ve been part of each other’s lives ever since, from first birthday parties and day to day stress to some of life’s hardest lessons, we’ve weathered it together. When something so natural presents itself… you go with it… and our friendship had us daydreaming about beautiful weekend retreats with soulful conversations and good food! A space to separate from our counseling business to teach, create and coach. So we did it… we created A+K Collective.

Annie Tam, MEd, LPC

I am a licensed professional counselor, coach and the owner of MEND Counseling. Helping individuals connect to themselves and rock their lives with authenticity, intention and kindness is my goal.

I specialize in helping mothers, entrepreneurs and perfectionists set SMART goals, build self-confidence, find identity and purpose, and create an intentional daily rhythm. Motivation for me is simply seeing the growth and joy in clients as they reach their goals and experience success. My clients appreciate my active, direct approach along with a dose of humor.

My journey in life has led me to wear many hats and diligently work on my flexibility (which is no small feat for an enneagram 1)! I’ve taught, mentored and counseled all ages and typically say my clients have grown up with me. Today, I find myself enjoying working with busy adults, helping them step back to see the big picture, define their values and goals, and create a life that is aligned with what is most important to them…a life of which they can truly say, “I really live well!”

In my free time, I can typically be found trying to keep up with my two rambunctious boys, enjoying a mega pilates class, or checking out a new restaurant with my husband, Patrick. I love strong coffee, dance parties, a bold Cabernet, anything French, and being in the great outdoors.

Kathryn McNeer, MS, LPC

I believe life goes fast, and I desperately don’t want you to miss it. A career therapist and life coach I have spent many years helping couples and individuals develop healthy relationships, communication styles, self- talk, and self- worth. I work with my clients on everything from parenting and prioritizing to conflict management and marital repair. I believe life is one transition after another and I offer sound, sincere, practical advice, with a dose of humor. My work has taught me the importance of having good conversation and how it moves your relationships in all the right directions. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples cultivate the “good stuff.” Let’s get to it!

I am a Kansas City native, a TCU Horned Frog, a Kansas Jayhawk and I met my husband in a bar, he made me laugh.  My favorite things include: a nice Sancerre, a sunset, country music, 80’s music, a long run, anything Jen Sincero writes, research, friendship, psychology today, the beach, my husband, and those three darling and exhausting children of mine.
